5 Relaxing Sports and Exercises for the Weekend Warrior

We all love following sports and placing bets when big matches are around the corner (my favorite thing to do is to compare the best betting sites nz and then choose my favorite before a match), but when it comes to actually practicing them, it’s hard to stay in shape and commit to a specific sport as a weekend warrior. Exercise and sports are generally good for your health, but you are also at risk of sustaining an injury. Without daily consistency, our body simply doesn’t advance or adapt to new workouts which is why weekend warriors need to be careful. Luckily there are lower-risk exercises or sports that you can practice during the weekend. So, let’s find out what are some of these weekend warrior-friendly workouts.

Running

Running is one of the best ways to counteract all of that sitting. We are barely active throughout the week and a good run can help us even the scale. The reason why it is such a good exercise is that you can run at a pace you are comfortable with. You are not training for a marathon or for the Olympics, so there is no need to push yourself. In fact, you can just go on a long hike and install an app that counts steps.

It’s also better not to push yourself especially if you are not an experienced runner. You should practice the running technique that ensures you conserve energy wily you move and that mitigates the chance of you tripping or sprain your ankle.

Yoga

Another antidote for all the sitting side effects is Yoga. Your muscles could use a good stretch and yoga can definitely help. Once again, do an assessment of your limits and try to do your best. Our body has incredible elastic potential but it’s something you gradually build up. If it’s not too much trouble you might also want to do short yoga exercises before bad each day. It’s just 10 to 20 minutes and it can be very helpful.

Mountain Climbing

A phenomenal way to get some exercise and spend quality time with friends or family while camping. You can all join a mountain climbing group just to have someone who is more experienced and who knows the way. You all have safety equipment so there is no need to be afraid, and it’s a really good workout. Make sure you warm up first and maybe go back home the same day if you feel like your muscles will be really sore tomorrow.

Beach Volleyball

If you don’t like mountains then maybe organize a beach day, and bring enough people to play volleyball. It can be so fun you won’t even notice that you are working out. Moreover, you can try one of those new fields designed for 4 teams. It’s a great way to divide into smaller teams and you won’t have to run around too much.

Swimming

Finally, swimming is one of the most relaxing activities and an amazing exercise at the same time. Simply staying in the water and going back and forth can be good for you, and whenever you feel like it, just pick up the pace.
